State of the art Sterilization
STERILIZATION POUCH SEALER

At Dental Folks, we follow a four-step sterilization protocol, instruments are washed under running water, scrubbed, soaked in an antibacterial solution and then dried before sealing them into sterilization pouches. The pouches are then sealed using a heat sealing machine and then steam sterilized at 121 degree C for one hour using an Class B Autoclave (Steam Sterilizer). The pouches are then stored in a UV chamber to maintain their sterility.

WATER PURIFICATION FOR USE IN EQUIPMENT WATER DISTILLER

Water distiller is a device, which is used to generate pure distilled water for use in the various equipments in dentistry. Distilled water is produced in our clinic using a countertop water distiller and is primarily filled into our autoclave (steam based instrument sterilizer) and dental chair units. The benefits of using distilled water include preventing buildup of bacteria in the dental water lines. This not only increases the longevity of our devices but also ensures patient safety.

CLASS B AUTOCLAVE (STEAM PRESSURE STERILIZER)

In todays age, there has been a growing incidence of threats by various microbial diseases hence In- clinic sterilization is crucial. At Dental Folks, you can be sure that each instrument used undergoes a vigorous sterilization protocol. Not only instruments, even materials like cotton, gauze, drills and plastic items are thoroughly sterilized.

The following “4 tier” sterilization protocol is followed in our clinic that not only ensures patient safety but also increases the success rate of the dental treatment.

  • Cleaned under running water.
  • Soaking in Antibacterial solution.
  • Drying, sealing and pouching.
  • Steam Sterilization in an Autoclave.

The Autoclave is a device, which is used to sterilize instruments and materials. There are various classes amongst Autoclaves like Class N and Class B and Class S

Class N autoclaves are the non-vacuum types that can be used to sterilize only wrapped items, and often tend to miss out on sterilizing the air pockets of porous hollow instruments.

We at Dental Folks have a Class B autoclave that is of vacuum type and can sterilize all forms of equipments placed be it wrapped or unwrapped. The device functions on the principle of sterilization under heat (121 degree Celsius) and a set amount of pressure.

UV CHAMBER

Once instruments are pouched and autoclaved, they are placed inside a UV chamber maintaining their sterility.
