MULTIPLE TOOTH IMPLANTS

When there is a loss of more than one tooth multiple implants can be placed. These implants form a stable foundation over which a fixed bridge can be placed. This process is called implant supported fixed bridge.

Pros

• These implants are placed in the jawbone and help to retain the bone as it integrates with it. (Bone loss occurs when there is a loss of natural teeth).
• There is no need to grind adjacent teeth.
• Gives a natural feel, form and function.
• Over time, in a fixed bridge, the cement under the bridge can wash off causing the formation of decay in the underlying teeth.
