SOCKET PRESERVATION
Socket preservation with bone graft after tooth extraction at Dental Folks Ramesh Nagar Delhi Socket preservation after tooth extraction with bone graft material

Tooth Extraction means removal of the tooth from its socket in the bone. Typically after extraction there is a considerable reduction in bone volume (bone width and height). This can make it difficult to place a new tooth at the empty site. Hence all measures should be taken to preserve the bone that would be the foundation of the new tooth (especially implants). Socket Preservation refers to a technique wherein the tooth removal is done without any trauma and attempts are made to preserve the bone by placing Bone grafts (artificial bone materials) and membranes. Research has shown that bone formation is speeded by the placement of these materials that enables better implant placement.
