Tooth crowns or caps are artificial structures that are fitted onto natural teeth. These are
usually done post treatment procedures like root canals, or for esthetic purposes like smile
makeover. Sometimes there isn’t enough tooth structure hold the cap in place ( in other words,
a tooth with inadequate height/volume). This happens due to either tooth fracture or cavities.
In such a case, the gums and bone surrounding the tiny tooth are re- adjusted to a lower level to
expose more height of the tooth. Once the tooth gains adequate height, the cap stays longer.
